What is the form of Barcelona compared to Atletico?
Form favors Atletico Madrid. Los Rojiblancos boast a four-game winning streak. However, in their last 12 games, Simeone’s side have enjoyed only five victories, drawing four times and losing three.
Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid head-to-head record
These two sides have already met this season in La Liga. Barcelona traveled to the Spanish capital and came away with a 1-0 lead thanks to – surprise, surprise – Lionel Messi. It should be noted that the last time Atletico Madrid beat the Catalan giants was back in April 2016 in the Champions League.

Preview
Barcelona are the reigning Spanish Super Cup holders and will be aiming to defend their title once the four-team competition gets underway. Unlike previous editions, the Blaugrana will first have to play a semi-final clash with Atletico before they can make the final.
The Blaugrana will be in for a tough game. Atletico Madrid is never an easy opposition despite their recent unbeaten run against them. Furthermore, the Catalan giants will be without several key players for this tie.
The biggest absentee is Marc-Andre ter Stegen. In another season plagued by susceptible defending, the Barca goalkeeper has been the only man standing tall and strong but the German will miss this tie due to a knee issue.
Arthur will also be forced to sit this one out. This term, the Brazilian has shown his worth but has been dealing with an adductor issue which he recently aggravated. Then there is the injury-prone Ousmane Dembele who is out until next month with a thigh injury.
As for Atletico Madrid, they will be without Diego Costa while Thomas Lemar and Sime Vrsaljko who are doubts.
