Although official numbers were not released, the new deal will could see Liverpool becoming the English team with the most expensive kit deal.

Liverpool will extend its dominance away from the pitch after this announcement.

The Reds have revealed the end of their kit sponsorship deal with New Balance, which provided uniforms to all of their squads for the past five years. Today, LFC's managing director Billy Hogan revealed that American kit manufacturer Nike will be in charge of providing outfits for all of the team's categories and coaching staffs.

The initial deal between the Reds and the American company will begin in June 2020 and is set to conclude in 2025, but contract extension rules may see the Reds making this a long-term partnership.

Speaking to the team's website, Billy Hogan revealed the reasons to strike a deal with Nike.

"As a brand, Nike reflects our ambitions for growth, and we look forward to working with them to bring fans new and exciting products," Hogan stated.

In his capacity as the brand's VP, Bert Hoyt revealed the main goals Nike will pursue after striking this deal.

"We look forward to partnering with them to serve players and supporters with Nike innovation and design," Hoyt said.

Off the record, Liverpool's deal with Nike will see the Reds' kit becoming the most expensive for a Premier League team. This new partnership will see Liverpool top the amount of money Manchester Unied collects for their sponsorship deal with Adidas. If that was not enough, a possible contract extension could see Liverpool surpassing the amount collected by Barcelona and Real Madrid, as the following chart reveals.
