Contrary to previous reports, Los Blancos are yet to secure the service of the forward.

Real Madrid has not reached a total agreement with Flamengo wonderkid Reinier Jesus, a new report has revealed. The highly-rated 17-year-old who has drawn interest from both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid was believed to be on his way to the Bernabeu later this month but, apparently, a deal has not been completed yet.

Reinier showed glimpses of his potential by scoring six goals in 14 appearances, helping Flamengo to secure the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A as well as the Copa Libertadores title. He has resultantly drawn interest from a host of top European clubs with the biggest traction coming from Spain.

Last week, Goal Brasil reported that the attacker is set for a move to the Bernabeu after Real Madrid had a bid of $39 million accepted by Flamengo. However the player has been quoted in Marca as saying that a deal is far from completion and that we will 'wait and see' what happens in the near future.

Real Madrid Castilla manager Raul also revealed in another Marca report that he does not have any idea about a deal being completed. Currently, Reinier is with the Brazilian U23 squad at a preparatory tournament ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics qualifiers.
