The Norwegian boss wants to sign more talent in order to avoid being sacked by the Red Devils.

Wednesday's loss against Arsenal kicked off the alarms once again inside Manchester United's training complex, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly identified the missing piece in his puzzle.

According to a report by The Independent, the Norwegian boss has asked his employers to try and sign one of the three players he has proposed to boost their midfield. Given the fitness issues some of his footballers have dealt with -namely Paul Pogba-, the former striker has identified three players that could come in and help for the second half of the season.

Those three players are Jack Grealish, James Maddison and Christian Eriksen. Each one of these players has pros and cons for Ed Woodward to try and attempt their signing, and we will give you the bigger picture on how each deal could fall into place.

James Maddison has been impressive for Leicester City all season, leading them to the second spot in the Premier League. The midfielder has been involved in 12 goals in all comps for Brendan Rodgers' men, but only time will tell if he chooses to step away from the title race to correct Manchester United's shaky performances.

Grealish has been one of the most consistent players for Aston Villa. The footballer has been involved in 14 goals this season (eight goals, six assists), and considering the Villans spot in the EPL (17th after 21 games), the midfielder seems like the most feasible signing for Manchester United.

The last option for the Red Devils is Christian Eriksen. The Danish midfielder would arrive to Old Trafford on a lower fee since his contract with Spurs ends this summer, but despite claims by Daniel Levy last year, it seems that the playmaker may end up leaving the Premier League to join Inter Milan or even Real Madrid. With that in mind, Eriksen's transfer may seem like a good possibility, but not the first option for the club.

Solskjaer seems desperate to turn things around, since his job is once again under questioning. The 2-0 loss against Arsenal sparked all rumors once again, and with Mauricio Pochettino waiting on the sidelines to take a coaching gig, the Norwegian tactician wants to make sure he has all the tools to try and keep his job.
