Les Parisiens are aware of the player's intention to leave the club, and they are ready to make things easier for his departure.

French champions PSG are open for business during this winter break, even if that means letting their all-time top scorer leave the club for almost nothing.

According to a report by Le Parisien, Atlético's Sporting Director Andrea Berta has already spoken to his counterpart at PSG, Leonardo. Both execs have determined to make the deal happen, with a cheap price tag of a bit over $10M to complete the transfer.

The striker has been linked to a move to Inter Miami FC as the expansion team's top signing, but the Uruguayan seems keen on extending his playing career in Europe for quite a bit longer. Cavani is reportedly interested in playing for Simeone since the team's playing style could do wonders for his career. Added to that, teaming up with Alvaro Morata and Joao Felix is something quite appealing for the South American.

The 32-year-old footballer has scored 196 goals for PSG during his seven years at Parc des Princes, claiming the title as the team's all-time top scorer in 2018. His playing time took a serious drop under Thomas Tuchel, and plans to rejuvenate the squad and Mauro Icardi's arrival were key in his decision to leave the club four goals shy of the 200-goal mark with the Ligue 1 champions.

Now, Cavani seems ready to leave the French outfit to join Atlético, where his time in Europe will certainly come to an end. Only time will tell how many seasons he will be able to play there, especially with several MLS clubs knocking on his door.
