The group stage of the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League season is done and dusted, with the focus now shifting to who will face who is the last 16.

The 2019 UEFA Champions League group stage is done and dusted. The final spots in the round of 16 have now been confirmed, with the likes of Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and several other European giants securing progression.

Ajax and Inter Milan are two sides that missed out on a ticket to the knockout stage and will have to be content with dropping down for the Europa League. For everyone else, the focus shifts to who they will face in the next round.

The rules are simple: every team that won their group will be put in one pot while the second-placed sides will go into the other. Two teams from the same pots or two teams from the same group cannot face each other. Furthermore, two teams from the same country can't be drawn against each other – this means Liverpool, who came in first, can't face Group B runners-up Tottenham.

Pot 1 (Group winners)

  • PSG

  • Bayern Munich

  • Man City

  • Juventus

  • Liverpool

  • Barcelona

  • RB Leipzig

  • Valencia

Pot 2

  • Real Madrid

  • Tottenham

  • Atalanta

  • Atletico Madrid

  • Napoli

  • Dortmund

  • Lyon

  • Chelsea

Real Madrid will be in for a tricky time. After finishing behind PSG, Los Blancos could face anyone from Bayern Munich, Man City, Liverpool, and Juventus.  As for the reigning champions, they will not have to worry about Chelsea and Tottenham. The same applies to Man City.

Barcelona could face a familiar foe in the form of the Blues, having locked horns in Europe several times before. For Lampard's side, it appears nearly impossible to dodge a huge team. Here are the possible round of 16 opponents for the remaining European giants in the Champions League.

Liverpool: Real Madrid, Atalanta, Atletico Madrid, Dortmund, Lyon

Man City: Real Madrid, Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Dortmund, Lyon

Chelsea: PSG, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Barcelona, RB Leipzig

Tottenham: PSG, Valencia, Juventus, Barcelona, RB Leipzig

Barcelona: Napoli, Atalanta, Tottenham, Lyon, Chelsea

Real Madrid: Bayern Munich, Juventus, RB Leipzig, Liverpool, Man City

Juventus: Real Madrid, Dortmund, Lyon, Chelsea, Tottenham

Bayern Munich: Real Madrid, Atalanta, Lyon, Chelsea, Napoli, Atletico Madrid

PSG: Atalanta, Tottenham, Chelsea, Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Dortmund
