Both Morelia and Monterrey will have to make the most out of their home-field advantage during the first games if they want to reach the title clash.

Just a few hours have to go by before the semi-final stage of the Mexican top-flight kicks off. Monterrey, Necaxa, Morelia and América will try to reach the final, even if they don't know when it will be played due to Rayados' involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The first legs of the semi-finals will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, and before we get into both games, let us remind you about the tiebreakers used by Liga MX. The aggregate score comes first, then the away goals rule comes into effect. Last, but not least, each team's position in the standings will be used as the final criteria to determine the teams that make it to the title clash.

Have a look at both fixtures below (you will find their spot in Liga MX's standings between each parenthenses).

Monterrey (8) vs Necaxa (5)

Rayados may have lost almost all the title matches they have played at home, and this looks like a golden opportunity for Mohamed's men to conclude a competition playing away from home. In order to do that, Rayados needs to do a similar job as the one they pulled off last week, when they defeated Santos with a 5-2 score in the first leg. Necaxa was able to finish the job they started at home when they played against Querétaro away from the Victoria Stadium, which makes us believe that the game scheduled for Wednesday's evening is a must-watch.

Morelia (7) vs América (6)

Both teams made it to this stage after winning their away games in the Quarterfinals, but Morelia needs to show they learned from their mistakes when they host Las Águilas. Pablo Guede's men will try to make it to the Azteca with the upper hand, even if América is considered as the favorite to win the title. Any score in which América is able to score away goals will be gladly welcome by Miguel Herrera, who will try to put the "6th-place curse" behind them and make it to his fifth title clash in all comps as América's tactician.
