The 2019 Yachine Trophy, the first of its kind, was handed to one of Liverpool's key players in their quest to reach the 2019 UEFA Champions League title: Alisson Becker.
The Brazilian goalkeeper had one of the most successful years in his career, especially after being key for Liverpool's UCL title and a subsequent Copa América win with Brazil later in the summer.
Manchester City's Ederson Moraes (Alisson's sub with Brazil) and Barcelona's Marc-André Ter Stegen were the runners-up in the race to win the award, which is set to define greatness among goalkeepers from here on in.
