He virtually had an off day.

Fans on social media have heavily slammed Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga for his performance in Saturday's defeat to Manchester City. The Blues' shot-stopper conceded twice in a space of eight minutes as the Citizens completed a comeback win at the Etihad.

The first was scored by Kevin De Bruyne in the 29th minute when his goal-bound effort deflected off the foot of Tomori, easily beating Kepa who was heading in the opposite direction. Seven minutes past the half-hour mark, Riyad Mahrez beat two Chelsea defenders in the Blues' penalty area and calmly slotted the ball into the bottom left corner. Prior to the two goals, N'Golo Kante had given the visitors the lead inside the 21st minute with an assist from Matteo Kovavic to mark his 150th appearance.

With Kepa falling short once more, his day was almost worsened by Raheem Sterling who almost secured a two-goal win margin for Pep's side. However, the Englishman's 94th minute strike was controversially ruled out for offside by the Video Assistant Referee.

Manchester City's win ended a six-game winning streak in the league for Chelsea and also denied the Londoners the opportunity to attain a club record of eight successive victories away from home in all competitions. To most fans, Kepa Arrizabalaga was to blame for the milestone not being achieved. Below are some of the reactions on Twitter:
