CONCACAF Nations League - How to watch Mexico vs Bermuda on November 19

November 18, 2019 By Oscar Rojas
El Tri has already booked their spot in the next stage, but an emphatic win in front of their fans would be a good way to finish things off.

What has been Mexico and Bermuda's form ahead of this game?

Mexico has won their four most recent games, including their three CONCACAF Nations League matches so far. The last two games for Martino's men in Mexico ended with a 2-0 win against Trinidad & Tobago and a 3-1 win against Panama in their second CNL clash.

Bermuda has only won four of their games this year, with their 2-0 away win against Panama being the stand-out moment for the Gombey Warriors. The most recent game for the team coached by Kyle Lightbourne ended in a goalless draw against Guatemala back in October.

What position do Mexico and Bermuda hold in their CONCACAF Nations League group?

Mexico has already booked their spot in the final four by winning Group 2. El Tri has nine points out of their three games, and they will be looking to finish this stage with a perfect record. José Juan Macías and Raúl Jiménez are the team's top scorers with two goals each in this competition.

Bermuda needs a draw to surpass Panama in Group 2, since Kyle Lightbourne's men are currently third. Any other result will see Bermuda relegated to CONCACAF's League B, since Panama has a better goal differencial.

Mexico vs Bermuda - Head to head

  • This will be the 6th game between Mexico and Bermuda.

  • Mexico has beaten Bermuda in four of those previous meetings.

  • Bermuda has beaten Mexico once. That game took place back in 1969, and the end result saw the Gombey Warriors claiming a 2-1 win vs El Tri.

  • The reverse fixture between these teams concluded with a 5-1 win for Mexico back in October.

  • Mexico has never conceded when playing at home against Bermuda.

Mexico vs Bermuda - Who's in and who's out?

Mexico's coach Gerardo Martino mixed it up a bit in this call up, leaving stars Javier Hernández and Hirving Lozano out of the squad, although "Chicharito"'s absence had to do with a disciplinary problem that could see the end of his successful international career with El Tri. Jonathan Dos Santos left the team due to injury, with no one being called up to fill his void.

Bermuda will get to this game with their top guns, including striker Nahki Wells (12 goals in 18 caps) and midfielder Reggie Lambe. Captain Dante Leverock will also be in Toluca bossing the defense around, in what will surely be a tough match for the Bermudan side.
