The German coach had some choice words for the Swedish ace, who seems bound for a Serie A return.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's future will be the cause for many rumors until he finds a new team, but Liverpool's coach decided to squash all rumors linking the Swede to his side.

Speaking in an interview with Sportbladet, Klopp discussed the possibility of having Zlatan Ibrahimovic around, but he named one particular reason about his past that would prevent the footballer from making an impact wearing Liverpool's jersey.

If he had not played for Manchester United before, then we might have considered him. But I'm not even sure he wanted to play here. We're a pretty intense team. With that said, I couldn't have had more respect for Zlatan," Klopp said.

The German tactician went on to heap praise on the footballer, who is being linked with a move to several Serie A clubs.

"I love his whole career, love his efforts, love his confidence. While it may not always be right, it is entertaining anyway," Klopp added.

Then, the 2019 UEFA Champions League winner with the Reds urged Zlatan to make a decision that doesn't deprive fans from watching him on a football pitch.

"He's a fantastic character and I really hope he doesn't stop playing football. The world will miss him too much," Klopp concluded.
