Zlatan set to end MLS adventure for shock Serie A return

The Swedish ace will end his deal with the LA Galaxy next month, and his return to the Italian top-flight seems to be closer than ever.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic seems ready to continue his playing career, and he has chosen one of the most competitive leagues to stage a shocking return to European football at 38 years of age.

According to a report by Corriere dello Sport, the talented footballer will put an end to his two-year stint at the MLS to join a Serie A side. While Napoli and Milan were named as the primary suitors for his services, it seems that his friendship with Sinisa Mihajlovic will have a key role in his choice, which will be none other than Bologna.

Ibrahimovic was also linked to Manchester United, since the club is without a striker after Romelu Lukaku left to join Inter. Despite such claims, "Ibra" is keen on returning to the Italian league, where he played for Juventus, Inter and Milan.

The Swedish ace scored 53 goals in 58 apps for the LA Galaxy since he joined them in 2018. While he collected a host of individual trophies, he failed to lead Los Angelinos to the MLS title.
