They want him out as soon as possible!

Supporters of Arsenal Football Club have called for the immediate sack of club head coach Unai Emery following Saturday's defeat to Leicester City. The encounter at the King Power Stadium ended 2-0 in favor of the hosts and saw the Gunners reaching an unwanted feat of matching their worst-ever start after 12 matches in the Premier League.

After successfully dealing with the threats posed by the Foxes in the first half, the Arsenal defense finally crashed and conceded a Jamie Vardy goal in the 68th minute. Seven minutes later, James Maddison slammed home a shot from outside the visitors' penalty area to dash any hopes of a comeback.

With this result, Unai Emery's side was demoted to the sixth position while their record of 17 points and minus one goal difference is the worst start to a top-flight season after 12 games since 1982-83 where they registered 15 points. Interestingly, the team is now without a win in six matches across all competitions.

On the back of this, the pressure on the Arsenal headcoach has increased significantly and, following the day's disappointing outcome, the Spanish manager accepted blame for how things transpired and pleaded for more time to move the club in the right direction.

"I am speaking with the club to stay strong and recover," he told a post-match news conference.

"We also have young players who are growing up with us.

"I know we are receiving criticism but I have done before and I have recovered. I accept all the criticism. It is normal. Today we did one step ahead being better defensively.

"We can be disappointed but not with the attitude of the players, they did the gameplan. In the second half, we created some chances and when they scored we lost that opportunity.

"When pressed on why he opted for a defensive-minded 3-4-1-2 formation against Leicester," Emery added:

"I think the players felt good in that system.

"Last year we used it and we did well. It depends on how we can get our best qualities and we used that system last year with a lot of good results.

"We are distant from Leicester now but we will take time to prepare and improve and take the balance in the team.

"Manchester United and Spurs are also behind us so it is an equal competition but we have time to reduce the gap on Leicester."

Despite Unai Emery's candid assessment, the Arsenal faithful are still pushing for his imminent departure. Below are some of the reactions of the fans on Twitter:
