With Ernesto Valverde increasingly under pressure, options have started to emerge as potential replacements for the Spanish boss.

It seems that Ernesto Valverde's time at Camp Nou will not be extended beyong next summer, and such a desireable job has already created controversy on who will take over if -or when- the Spaniard steps down.

Earlier this week, the director of the Dutch Football Association, Nico Jan-Hoogma, revealed how current Oranje coach Ronald Koeman has a clause in his contract that could see him terminate his deal with the National Team if Barcelona came knocking on his door.

Today, Koeman confirmed the existance of such clause in his deal, but he also revealed details on when it can be triggered, making Oranje fans rest easy about the team's immediate future in the 2020 UEFA Euro.

"The clause would only contemplate Barcelona, and it can only be triggered after the 2020 Euro. I am not leaving right now, that's for sure, In fact, I can assure that I would not leave my position here to join any other club," Koeman told Fox Sports.

Koeman's team has dazzled Europe with key wins in the UEFA Nations League and in the UEFA Euro Qualifiers, and his name has been linked to Los Culés for quite some time. Now, Koeman has admitted his will to join the Spanish giants if all things fall in place.

Nevertheless, the Dutch tactician added that Hoogma's reveal was not something he wanted to see, since it could make his players feel uncomfortable.

"I think it was unfortunate of him to come up and say this. I am not mad, but we did have a talk about it. A white lie can sometimes be a good thing, I say them now and then," Koeman added.

Koeman is expected to hand in his call up for the upcoming international break, and we will be able to see the effect Hoogma's words have on the general behavior of the team.
