The Reds could be facing a major problem because of their FIFA Club World Cup trip, which takes place on the same day as their match against Aston Villa.

Jurgen Klopp's post-match press conference left a few talking points that had nothing to do with his team's win after penalties against Arsenal, since Liverpool may be considering to forfeit the chance to win the League Cup due to an excessive amount of games in December.

When asked about the upcoming quarterfinal clash against Aston Villa, Klopp demanded the FA to come up with a proper date to play the game, and if they can't come up with one, his team simply will not show up.

"If they don't find an appropriate place for us, not 3am on Christmas Day, then we don't play it. They have to make that decision. You have to think about these things," Klopp said.

Klopp was left baffled by the fact that no one saw this coming in advance.

"If you have a fixture list where one team cannot be part of all the games, then you have to think about the fixture list. We will not be the victim of this problem. We play tonight, we wanted to win it, we did that, and if they don't find a proper date for us, then we cannot play the next round and whoever is our opponent will go through," Klopp added.

Negotiations between Liverpool and the English FA are currently underway to determine when the Reds will play their quarterfinal fixture. The aforementioned round is set to start on December 16, but Liverpool's trip to Qatar, where they will play the FIFA Club World Cup, causes a massive problem for League Cup officers, who will not want to embarrass themselves by watching one of the most in-form teams in the world forfeit a game.
