The Special One is currently out of work but desires to return to coaching in the Premier League in order to make history.

Jose Mourinho, who is currently out of work in the managerial scene, is eager for a return to work and reportedly desires a job in the Premier League. The Portuguese ace is no stranger to the English top-flight, having coached both Chelsea and Man Utd, but now wants to manage a third club in a bid to set a record.

The Special One has enjoyed tremendous success in the Premier League, winning seven major titles during his two spells at Stamford Bridge. He then won the Europa League and League Cup with the Red Devils before his unceremonious departure last December.

According to the Sun, he wishes to manage another English club in order to become the first manager to win major titles with three Premier League clubs. However, how does this relate to Arsenal?

The British tabloid writes that the Emirates Stadium is now a possible destination for the Special One given their troubles under Unai Emery and Jose's record of winning titles everywhere he goes. The Spaniard is only 10 games into his second Premier League campaign with the Gunners but many are already calling for his sacking after their lackluster displays this season.

The defensive frailties that plagued the Arsenal side of Arsene Wenger’s era remain and on top of that, the north London giants struggle to create and play the attractive football from seasons before. Inconsistency with his starting eleven, formation, and game plan is another criticism directed at Emery.

Some fans have already stated their desire for Mourinho to take over Arsenal despite his ugly history with the club. The manager has been monitoring the situation at Tottenham, another club linked with the Portuguese tactician, but Spurs appear more likely to stick by their boss during troubled times than the Gunners.

As of now, though, the London giants won’t make any drastic decisions regarding Emery, who is under contract until 2021. Currently, he is focused on the club’s upcoming game: a League Cup round of 16 clash with Liverpool.
