The Reds will welcome Pochettino's side on Sunday in a highly-anticipated Anfield showdown.

Liverpool are gearing up for a crucial Premier League clash this weekend, with the leaders set to take on Tottenham on Sunday. The Reds have received a huge boost for this showdown as two key players who were doubts for this game are ready to play.

They are Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson. The two fullbacks have emerged as two of the best in the business but there were fears they could miss out on the Spurs clash.

Alexander-Arnold failed to make the trip for their recent Champions League game due to illness. Klopp’s side won 4-1 at Genk nonetheless but the worry was whether he would be available for Sunday.

Robertson, meanwhile, featured in the midweek victory but was taken off after 63 minutes. Klopp has now confirmed that was a mere pre-caution while revealing Trent is doing well and likely to feature.

“We just rested Robbo. We said ‘that’s enough for today’, 60 minutes, he could do it and did it. He’s fine,” the manager said (as per This is Anfield).

“Trent is fine – if there is no setback. With Joel we have to see, I didn’t see him yet.

“Trent looked fine. You know how it is sometimes: he was ill, ill enough not to travel with us which was not a good sign.

“But he had a ‘clearing session’ yesterday, and if it is as it was yesterday he should be fine.”

Matip’s absence could be worrisome given that Tottenham have found their goalscoring form, netting five past Crvena Zvezda. Liverpool will not want to drop more points after drawing 1-1 at Old Trafford last weekend.
