La Liga - Matchday 10 preview, including Atlético vs Athletic Club

October 25, 2019 By Oscar Rojas
With El Clásico being postponed due to protests in Catalunya, all we have to do is watch how the rest of the teams battle to earn our attention.

Matchday 10 in the Spanish top-flight was supposed to see Barcelona and Real Madrid locking horns in one more edition of El Clásico, but La Liga decided to postpone that game until December 18. With that in mind, all eyes will be on Granada, Real Sociedad, Sevilla and Atlético Madrid, who could change the landscape of the competition in the event of a win.

Fans around the world should keep an eye on games such as the one featuring Atlético and Athletic Club,  or the showdown between Celta and Real Sociedad. Granada will try to take the top spot of the league when they face Betis, in what should be quite an entertaining game featuring two sides from the Andalucian region.

Without further ado, here's what you need to keep an eye on for Matchday 10 in La Liga.

Team news - Who's in, who's out?

Atlético Madrid gets to their game against Athletic without three players: Sime Vrsaljko, Joao Felix and Stefan Savic. Center back José María Giménez will be assessed before the game to determine his availability.

Sevilla will host Getafe on Sunday with only Daniel Carrico as an injury concern for Julen Lopetegui.

Real Sociedad will have to deal with the absences of two key players, as Asier Illarramendi and Aritz Elustondo have been ruled out due to their respective injuries.
