The French star was impressive against Club Brugge, but not everyone is satisfied with his general attitude.

French striker Kylian Mbappé may have scored a hat-trick and dazzled the world last Tuesday with PSG, but one of the men that led France to their first World Cup title feels that there is something he needs to work on.

Speaking in his show for RMC, former Olympique Marseille footballer and 1998 World Cup winner Christophe Dugarry criticized Mbappé's lack of humility after the game, comparing his post-match words with something that Neymar would say.

"It's something stupid. I might be a bit rough, but I don't want the 'Mbappé dream' to be over. I sense that he is thinking only about himself. He is 'Neymarizing' himself," Dugarry said.

Dugarry was one of the key members of the 1998 French team that won the title in front of their home crowd.

The former player's criticism came after Mbappé admitted his disappointment over starting the game against Brugge on the bench. He'd eventually come in and score a hat-trick, but his words were anything but humble.

"I wanted to start. I thought I'd get the nod, but it's the coach's decision and I have to accept that. I wanted to show the world that life is hard without me," Mbappé said after the game.

Dugarry has been quite active in recent weeks when discussing current football affairs, and his jibe at Mbappé will certainly not be the last.
