The German manager was unhappy with his side sharing the points with Solskjaer's men at Old Trafford.

Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has questioned the efficiency of the Video Assistant Referee for the controversies it generated in Sunday's Premier League draw at Old Trafford. The German also criticised the tactics of Manchester United who halted his side's 100 percent win record as a result of the 1-1 scoreline.

Current league leaders Liverpool struggled in its ninth league game of the season and was made to fight back from a goal down in order to share spoils in the day's encounter. English pair Marcus Rashford and Adam Lallana were the scorer's for both sides in what was an enthralling show at Old Trafford.

In the aftermath of the proceeding, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp did not hold with his criticism of the VAR which significantly impacted the outcome of the classic encounter. In the first half, the technology failed to overrule Marcus Rashford's opener which came after Divock Origi had been fouled in the opposite half by Victor Lindelof. Sadio Mane also had a potential equaliser canceled when review brought to light that he handed the last pass with his arm.

"I was 100 percent sure VAR would overrule it," the Liverpool boss told a post-match news conference.

"But now we see the problem. The ref let the game run because he has VAR, but VAR then says it was not clear so they don't overrule it. That doesn't make too much sense.

"It's just wow. I saw it was a foul and nothing else. Mr Atkinson I'm sure would have whistled if there was no VAR involved, but now we have somebody else who can make the decision. But somebody else is not making the decision.

"Like the penalty Manchester City did not get yesterday (against Crystal Palace). Come on, that is 100 per cent a penalty. Not clear enough to overrule? They sit in the studio, they see it. Just take it away.

"Pretty much everything went against us. Like our goal, eh? I heard that both players were there with the hand, but the other one is first then it should have been allowed."

Relatively, the 52-year-old ex-Dortmund manager did not spare Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side for the tactics used as his winless run against the club continued.

"Man United had momentum in the first half because they were purely there to defend us," he added. "Since I came to England, Man United always played like this," he continued.

"I'm not the person who should be frustrated by United's style. In the last years they just defend, that's how it is, it's no criticism, it's just a fact.

"When you think United versus Liverpool you think both teams attacking, but it's not."

Liverpool still sits atop the Premier League table with 25 points - six more than defending champions Manchester City. The Reds will welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Anfield next Sunday after they take on Genk in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
