The Red Devils have a number of transfer targets to help them rise back to greatness, and one historic member of Los Blancos could land at Old Trafford as part of that plan.

There were many rumors linking Paul Pogba to Real Madrid since March, but there was never talk of a Real Madrid player making the trip to Old Trafford...until today.

According to a report by German newspaper Bild, Manchester United will finally make an approach to sign talented midfielder Toni Kroos, a footballer who seems to have done all he could at the Bernabeu and is seemingly looking for pastures new.

The report suggests that Manchester United would be willing to offer Real Madrid a bit over $74M for the player's services. Kroos is seen by many as a reliable footballer, who could provide depth and experience to an ailing Manchester United midfield section.

Kroos has played a key role in Real Madrid's recent success, winning three UEFA Champions League titles among many other accolades.

The report also suggests that Kroos' move to Manchester United would take place as a stand-alone transfer, since Real Madrid has already pulled the plug in their interest to sign Paul Pogba.

Kroos has played each and every one of Real Madrid's games in La Liga this season, scoring one goal and handing out one assist. Zidane still thinks of him as a massive contributor to the team's midfield, but only time will tell if playing for the most winning EPL side ever is tempting enough for Kroos to leave the Spanish capital.
