De Gea limps off with muscular injury

De Gea sets off the alarms at Man United as he limps off clash vs Sweden

The Spanish footballer had to be subbed off the pitch after taking a goal kick with La Roja.

Manchester United fans have reasons to worry about their clash against Liverpool, since goalkeeper David De Gea has seemingly added his name to the team's growing injury list.

The Spanish footballer played in Tuesday's game for La Roja against Sweden, but he had to be subbed off right after he took a goal kick. Apparently, De Gea picked up an injury to either his right thigh or his groin, which forced coach Robert Moreno to take him off after 60 minutes.

De Gea was guarding Spain's net after a one-month hiatus, since coach Moreno had handed the No.1 spot to Kepa Arrizabalaga. Now, the shot-stopper might be out for quite a while due to this muscular injury.

The main problem for Manchester United lies on the fact that the Red Devils are set to face Liverpool on the weekend with an injury list that keeps growing with each passing day.

The game between Sweden and Spain concluded in a one-all draw, but the main concern for Manchester United will be to see the extent of the injury picked up by their No.1 goalie.
