The Juventus attacker was on the scoresheet once again.

Some say it is his 700th (yes, the debate about 'that' Pepe goal still lurks) but, per official records, the goal was Cristiano Ronaldo's 699th in his career. Friday's UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier saw the 34-year-old forward and his teammates running away with an emphatic 3-0 win against Luxembourg inside the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon.

It was basically business for the Seleccao from the onset with Bernardo Silva opening the scoring in the 16th minute. 20 minutes after the game resumed in the second half, Cristiano Ronaldo was called into action for his first and only goal of the night. The Juventus striker capitalised on a defensive error by the visitors and simply sent a chip past the on-rushing goalkeeper right on the edge of the penalty box.

Resultantly, the former Real Madrid superstar took his overall goal tally for the Portuguese national team to 94 and his career total to 699. His numbers for Sporting, Manchester United and Real Madrid stands at five, 118 and 450 respectively while he is momentarily on 32 goals with Juventus. Watch the goal below:

Following Ronaldo's exploit, Valencia's Goncalo Guedes sealed the win for Portugal with a goal inside the 89th minute.
