The English international was praised by Dortmund's assistant, Jorg Heinrich, who discussed his team's chances of holding on to the footballer.

Jadon Sancho is one of the highest-rated players in Europe, and even if Borussia Dortmund execs are eager to keep the player around, assistant coach Jorg Heinrich admits that it will be difficult for that to happen.

Speaking in an interview with Omnisport, Heinrich looked into Sancho's progress and how he could develop into one of the top names in the world of football if handled properly.

"Jadon can become one of the best players in Europe, or even the world. He should know Dortmund is an excellent place for young players to play consistently and to develop on a very, very high level," Heinrich said.

Nevertheless, despite Borussia Dortmund's desires, the fact that some teams such as Manchester United or Manchester City have his name on top of their wishlists makes it difficult for him to think on a long-term career with the yellow and black side.

"It won't be easy to keep him at Dortmund. We hope he plays one or two seasons longer but we all know very, very big clubs with a lot of money want to have him in their team," Heinrich added.

Sancho is the player with the highest number of assists in the Bundesliga this season, with five in seven games. Added to that, he has found the back of the net three times, but even those numbers have not been able to propel Dortmund to the top spot in the league, with the yellow and black side four points behind Borussia Mönchengladbach.
