A South American clash with lots of history will take place this Saturday. Follow it with our detailed guide.

The ongoing international break will bring us competitive games around the world, and even though South American teams are not involved in any competition, CONMEBOL teams are taking the necessary steps to keep preparing for what's coming.

Such is the case of Colombia and Chile, two South American teams that will be playing their 40th game against each other. The Chilean side eliminated Colombia from the 2019 Copa América, which will surely make the Colombian side eager to earn a bit of payback.

Chile gets to this match on a woeful six-game streak without a win. La Roja has only been able to draw two of those games, both of them goalless, against Colombia and Argentina. Their last international match ended in massive disappointment due to their 2-1 loss against Honduras.

On the other hand, Colombia enters this clash on an eight-game streak without a loss in regulation, with their only loss being their game against Chile after penalties. The last international break saw Colombia draw against Brazil (2-2) and Venezuela (0-0).

Chile's boss Reinaldo Rueda will hand striker Niklas Castro a chance to play his first international game with La Roja, as the current Aalesund player has been called up for the first time by the Colombian boss. Castro's addition is intended to start a rejuvenation of an ageing squad, which will not have players such as Edu Vargas, Gonzalo Jara or Charles Aránguiz around.

Colombia's boss Carlos Queiroz is also preparing Los Cafeteros for life after James Rodríguez and Radamel Falcao. Both stars were omitted from the squad, giving way for fresh blood. Rangers' striker Alfredo Morelos will fight for a spot in the lineup with Duvan Zapata and Luis Muriel, who have unsuccessfully tried to fill Falcao's goalscoring shoes in 44 games between the duo.
