What is the form of Man City compared to Wolves?
Man City have embarked on a five-game winning streak since their shock 3-2 loss to Norwich. That loss to the Canaries and the 2-2 draw at home against Tottenham are the only two times the Citizens have dropped points this season in all competitions, winning every other game.
Wolves, meanwhile, boast a three-game winning streak and will give it their all to make it four wins out of four despite the uphill battle. Regardless, they have only one win from seven Premier League games so far, losing two and drawing four.
Man City vs Wolves head-to-head record
The last time these two sides met was in the 2019 Premier League Asia Trophy final, with Nuno’s men emerging triumphant. However, Wolves last victory over Man City in an official game came back in October 2010.
Games played: 120
Man City wins: 48
Wolves wins: 47
Draws: 25
Team news
Man City will have to make do without Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian has been impeccable for the Citizens this season but will miss this clash after picking up a groin injury in the 3-1 win over Everton.
John Stones remains on the sidelines, alongside long-term absentee Aymeric Laporte, but the Englishman could return to Guardiola’s defense once the international break ends. Leroy Sane is also far off a return.
As for the away side, they will be without Diogo Jota. The Portuguese attacker picked up an ankle injury in the Europa League and will thus miss the trip to the Etihad Stadium. He is Wolves only absentee, however.
