As things stand, Liverpool still maintains a five point gap over the chasing pack thanks to their perfect 100 per cent winning record. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Watford still have to win a game and languish at the bottom of the table with two points from their first seven games. Impressively, Leicester City sit in third place after a strong start to the season. Will the Foxes, led by none other than Brendan Rogers, end the Reds' unbeaten run this term when they head to Anfield?
Here's all you need to know ahead of matchday eight.

Key talking points ahead of matchday eight
Will Leicester prove to be Liverpool's stumbling block?
Perhaps. They're the side who ended the Reds' unbeaten run back in the day, and Brendan Rogers will have an axe to grind after being fired by Liverpool a few years ago. In addition, only two teams - Manchester City and Liverpool - have picked up more points than he has since his appointment, and right now, Leicester sit in a very impressive third in the Premier League table, ahead of Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham.
That's not to say they can beat Jurgen Klopp's men outright as the Champions League holders have been in strong form, but they could possibly cause them to drop points for the first time all season.
Can Tottenham get back on track after humiliating defeat to Bayern?
Bayern aren't the side that once won the Champions League, but they certainly showed they are still a team to be feared as they crushed Champions League runners up Tottenham mid week. Mauricio Pochettino still has his job, but there are already questions about his feature. Spurs will be keen on getting back to winning ways before the international hiatus interrupts league games once again after this round. And Brighton will present, on paper, at least, the perfect opponents, as they're never beaten Spurs in four prior Premier League meetings.
