Things are not going as planned at the Bernabeu and Los Blancos could move to rectify things come January.

The season is early and while it might not yet be time to hit the panic button at Real Madrid, there are worrying signs which the club could move to rectify come the January transfer window.

Los Blancos are top of La Liga, which is a huge positive, but the consensus is that the Spanish giants are still struggling. Proof of this is their 2-2 draw with Club Brugge in which they had to fight from 2-0 down at their home ground to pick up a single point, having lost their opening game 3-0 at PSG.

As a result, the club are eyeing additions come winter. Paul Pogba remains Zinedine Zidane's favorite but the odds of Los Blancos landing the Frenchman remain low. As a result, Christian Eriksen is tipped as the most attainable player, according to Marca.

The Danish midfielder is a proven playmaker, and being 27 years old, he is ready-made. The Tottenham ace is in the final year of his contract and with an extension appearing unlikely, Spurs might be forced to sell for a bargain in January.

Another option for Real Madrid is Donny van de Beek. The Dutchman is "likely to be a target", according to the report. He was one of the key figures in Ajax's amazing Champions League campaign last term as they beat Real Madrid and then Juventus to make the semis. Whether his employers will sell in the middle of the season or agree to a pre-contract remains unknown.

However, before additions can be made, a few players must be moved on – two, at the very least. Mariano Diaz and Brahim Diaz are the two names expected to be sold in January.
