Aubammeyang enters war of words with Dortmund CEO

Aubameyang fires massive digs at Dortmund exec via Twitter

October 3, 2019 By Oscar Rojas
The German exec started the fire with a few comments on the footballer, but 'Auba' hit back with a few gems about Dortmund's CEO.

What started out as a "clever" statement by Dortmund's main man ended with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang defending his choices in life in stylish fashion.

On Wednesday, Dortmund's CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke spoke about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's decision to leave the German side.

"Aubameyang, who's doing quite well at Arsenal, is probably very happy when he looks at his bank account, but on Wednesdays, he has to watch the (UEFA) Champions League on TV, and I'm sure he's embarrassed about it," Watzke told Suddeustche Zeitung.

But once Aubameyang got word of this quote, he aimed a massive dig at his former boss, hinting that the one that is only thinking about money is Watzke, and not himself.

After learning how both sides feel about each other, we get the impression that Aubameyang and Watzke did not end their work relationship on the best terms. Even so, discussing these matters in a media outlet can backfire, and Watzke had to learn about it the hard way.
