The French boss admitted that his team needs massive improvement if they want to make it past the group stage of the competition.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane was left quite unhappy after Los Blancos dropped two more points in the UEFA Champions League, and shared a whopping insight on the team's performance against Brugge earlier today.

The French tactician admitted that things might have gotten out of hand for his team, especially after the first 45 minutes, where Brugged picked up a two-goal lead.

"You saw it, that first goal we conceded was laughable. We failed to focus on the areas where our rivals could damage us. When they scored, they pushed us back and then they scored the second one. We can't be happy," Zidane said.

The former midfielder went on and labeled the first 45 minutes of his team as one of the worst they've had under his command.

"We played 45 minutes like we never had. I can't be happy when I remember the first half. I'm not saying I'm happy with adding one point, but I believe there was room for us to pick three. Either way, I can't be mad about our reaction," Zidane added.

Before the interview concluded, Zidane revealed that nothing has changed for the team, especially since there are four games to be played by his team in the group stage.

"It is a bit worse than where we started today, we didn't change things that much, but we'll keep moving forward. We have to focus on our upcoming league match and then we'll think about what goes on in the upcoming Champions League game," Zidane concluded.
