The Red Devils face one of their toughest tests in the English top-flight season as Liverpool and Man City continue their battle for the championship.

Matchday 7 in the English Premier League will give us one of the most anticipated matches of the season, as Manchester United and Arsenal prepare to face each other in a game with much to play for. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until Monday to see this high voltage clash.

Elsewhere in the EPL, Liverpool will try to defend their perfect run when they visit Sheffield United. The recently promoted side will try to end a two-game losing streak at home to help their chances to avoid relegation, but Liverpool's impressive form may make it a bit more difficult than expected.

Second-placed Manchester City will also play away from home, with the struggling Everton being their hosts. The Toffees have lost three of their last four EPL games, and even if Guardiola's men have not had the start of the season everyone expected, this game seems like a good chance to redeem themselves after that appalling loss against Norwich in their last road game.

There are two teams that will be looking for their first win this season. Both Wolverhampton and Watford have struggled to win games this season, and their clash on Saturday is expected to see sparks fly.

Without further ado, here's what you need to keep an eye on for Matchday 7 in the English Premier League.

Coach's quotes ahead of Matchday 7

Liverpool may have had a good start of the season, but there's a major cause for concern for Klopp: Alisson Becker's fitness. Well, that seems to have changed with his statement ahead of the game against Sheffield.

"So Ali looks like he is close but the final word is with the medical department obviously, because we have to ask how it is exactly and that's it.  Ali is not in contention for tomorrow, it looks like maybe he can train with the team maybe from Sunday on. We don't know 100 per cent, but he's really close," Klopp said.

Key historical stats ahead of La Liga's Matchday 7

  • Arsenal has not won a Premier League game at Old Trafford since 2006.

  • Tottenham has won seven out of their last gome games against Southampton in all comps.

  • Liverpool will be looking for their 16th straight Premier League win.

  • Manchester City has won two away games in a row against Everton

  • Chelsea has kept a clean sheet against Brighton in their last two games at Stamford Bridge.

What is social media talking about ahead of Matchday 7?

Once again, Pep Guardiola stepped up to cause quite a stir on social media by defending Bernardo Silva and his alleged racist tweets against Benjamin Mendy. The Spanish boss urged media members and fans to take it easy against the Portuguese player, since none of them know details of the relationship both players share.

"He's an exceptional person, exceptional. He likes to be involved in different situations. It was just a joke. The same happened a thousand times with white people. It was a cartoon. If people think it's the opposite, then Bernardo and City are open to talking about it. But put the focus on other things, not Bernardo," the coach said.
