The Catalans fell to a shock 2-0 away defeat to Granada on Saturday.

Fans of Barcelona have called on the club's heircharcy to show head coach Ernesto Valverde the exit door following Saturday's defeat at Granada. The 55-year-old Spanish manager, once again, failed to get his tactics right as his side slumped to a surprise 2-0 loss to the Andalusians.

An early defensive mistake gifted the hosts the opportunity to take the lead through Nigerian midfielder Ramon Azeez after just 65 seconds. The Nazaríes then got their second from Alvaro Vadillo's 66th-minute spot-kick after Arturo Vidal had handled the ball in his side's penalty area.

It was generally an atypical performance by Barcelona with the Catalans managing just a single shot on target throughout the whole encounter. Despite finishing the game with Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez all on the field, the reigning champions showed very little urgency to fight back for an equaliser.

To most fans, the day's result simply rehashed Ernesto Valverde's incompetence at the helm of affairs at the club, hence the call to get him booted out. As things stand, Barca has managed just seven points from a possible 15, signifying the club's worst start to any season in La Liga since the 1994/1995 campaign where they managed the same number of points.
