Preview: Chelsea vs Valencia

Chelsea come into this game off the back of a very impressive showing against Wolves last weekend. The Blues were involved in a seven-goal thriller as they rebounded from a frustrating two-all draw against Sheffield United to beat Wolves 5-2, with Tammy Abraham netting a hat-trick. Impressively, that takes the England under-21 striker to seven goals on the season. And in fact, all of Chelsea's 11 goals have been scored by under-21 internationals (seven for Abraham, three for Mason Mount, and one for Fikayo Tomori), which shows that the youngsters are more than eager to step up and show coach Frank Lampard that he's been wise to take a huge gamble and rely on them to help support the team this season.

The question is - will the pressure of the Champions League be too much for these young, hungry, but inexperienced players? Next up on the menu is Valencia, who will be desperate to make amends after sacking their coach. Los Che have picked up just one win from their four opening games this season, but still have a way more experienced side than this young Blues team and will be looking to end their frustrating hoodoo that has seen them fail to win any of their last six encounters against the London giants.
