The Brazilian missed out on a summer exit but his employers are reportedly keen on shipping him out as soon as possible.

Neymar did not get the summer exit he wanted after a highly-followed transfer saga. The Brazilian went on to remain with the French giants and has vowed to remain with the club for this season, but according to reports, his employers are looking to offload him as soon as possible.

Tuttosport write (as per the Daily Mail) that despite outpricing many clubs out of a transfer with their exuberant demands, they are keen on getting rid of the Brazilian come January. This is due to Leonardo, the Ligue 1 champions’ sporting director, who is unhappy with the attacker’s situation.

A fellow Brazilian, Leonardo is unhappy with the uncertainty surrounding the world’s most expensive player’s future. A transfer was thought to take place next summer, with Barcelona and Real Madrid likely to reignite their interest in the Selecao sensation, but Les Parisiens could ship him out earlier than expected.

It will be interesting to see if any club will splash the cash for the 27-year-old in the winter window.  Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu recently stated to the press that the Catalan giants have no desire for a January move.

As for Los Blancos, Florentino Perez stated that there was no bid for Neymar on their part and mentioned their summer spending spree, hinting at financial restrictions. Whether Spain’s top two sides will change their stance should the attacker become available remains unknown.
