Up to eight Blaugrana footballers are reportedly upset on how the team handled their attempts to sign the world's most expensive footballer of all time.

The end of the summer transfer window left many fans and experts waiting for Barcelona to make one final push to try and sign Neymar, but Los Culés' failed to meet PSG's requirements, infuriating not only the team's supporters, but their players as well.

According to a report by The Mirror, president Josep Maria Bartomeu was just interested in building up Messi's hopes to sign his friend, which has earned him quite some backlash among Barcelona players. Barcelona knew that, after signing Griezmann, they did not have enough money to hire Neymar, which forced them to drop all serious attempts to lure the player back to Camp Nou.

After the window shut down, Messi is reportedly interested in leading the criticism against the Blaugrana boss, since his attempts to fool the players about his real intentions were futile. Luis Suárez and Gerard Piqué, both known for their good relationship with the Brazilian ace, are also interested in having their voices heard on this matter.

But that's not the only problem Bartomeu will have to solve. The report also indicates that those players that were included in all negotiations for the Brazilian winger are not satisfied with the way they were treated.

Ivan Rakitic, Arthur Melo, Ousmane Dembelé, Nelson Semedo and even Samuel Umtiti have reasons to complain about how Barcelona tried to handle their business with PSG, since none of them gave their approval to be included in the negotiation. The only one interested in leaving Barcelona to join PSG was Philippe Coutinho, but he ended up leaving on loan to Bayern München.

The Blaugrana boss seems to have some explaining to do, and after a slow start of the season, Barcelona's main man needs to clear the air to keep his players focused on what really matters.
