The Uruguayan striker did not hold back about the relationship the former team-mates share, especially after the failed transfer saga involving Neymar.

Luis Suárez vented his frustration over the failed transfer involving Neymar, especially since he knew first-hand that he did everything in his power to force his return to the Spanish giants.

Speaking in an intervier with Fox Sports Radio in Argentina, Suárez shared details of the relationship between Messi, Neymar and himself, confirming the existence of a Whatsapp group where all three of them talk about everyday stuff.

The Uruguayan ace shared how the trio went by the last days of the summer transfer window, when everything seemed to be on the right track to see "Ney" making a comeback to Camp Nou.

"We hardly talked to each other during the last few days in that Whatsapp group. Now that the transfer window is shut, we have picked it up. I can assure everyone that he did all he could to come back," Suárez said.

Barcelona's No. 9 also hinted that there might be more on why Neymar wants to force his way back to Camp Nou.

"We know all about the complicated moments he's lived through recently, when he wants to talk about it, we're there for him, but usually, Messi and I give him some space," Suárez added.

The South American striker went deeper into the trio's relationship, sharing how Messi and himself tried to keep Neymar around back in 2017.

"We talked about it back then, and we tried to make him realize that there was no better place for him than Barcelona, but he chose to leave and that's that," Suárez concluded.

The Uruguayan footballer was not included in La Celeste's squad that will play a couple of friendlies this month, in order for him to recover from a muscular problem he picked up during Barcelona's opening match in La Liga.
