The Argentine ace had a relapse in his muscular injury, which may see him miss more games than initially expected.

Fans will have to wait for Messi's debut in the 2019-20 season, as the Argentine ace seems to have been ruled out of the team's next clash against Osasuna.

La Liga's top scorer could spend 15 more days out due to complications to the injury he picked up during the earlier stages of the pre-season, which he was forced to join late due to his commitments with the Argentine National Team.

Initially, Messi was expected to miss only one game, but he was left out of the clashes against Athletic and Betis. The Argentine is now set to miss the clash against Osasuna after failing to train with the squad all week long.

Reports from RAC1 suggested that Messi had suffered a relapse from his muscular injury, but the club is yet to comment on that report, as they want to keep Messi's fitness problems close to their chests.

With the international break coming up, it seems like Messi will be back and fully fit to train in 15 days.
