Les Parisians are aiming to reinforce their attack once more.

Paris Saint-Germain is interested in signing Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, reports from Italy have indicated. The Ligue 1 outfit is aiming to conclude a deal for the Croatian striker before the transfer window closes in the coming days.

Mario Mandzukic was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer with Juventus willing to offload the ex-Bayern Munich star. However, the transfer failed to materialise despite a series of extensive talks between the player and the Premier League outfit.

With the 33-year-old forward set for another spell in Turin, fresh reports from Italy suggests that a move away could be on the cards after all. According to Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio, the striker is being monitored by Paris Saint-Germain. The French club is aiming at making a quick swoop having lost both Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe to injuries and with Neymar Jr's switch to Barcelona now looking very likely.

Les Parisians have made its first approach with Juventus and Mandzukic is also said to be evaluating the offer. Should the Bianconeri successfully cut ties with the Croatian international, a move for Inter Milan outcast Mauro Icardi could be back on the cards before the summer transfer window closes.

The purported move for the Argentine striker was previously held up as the Old Ladies were seeking to raise more funds from the sale of some of its fringe players. At the moment, the ex-skipper of the Nerazzurri is still looking for a new home with his side refusing to change its stance on his banishment.
