Antonio Conte's side has finalized the Chilean winger's move from Old Trafford.

Serie A giants Inter Milan are close to completing the signing of Manchester United winger Alexis Sanchez. The Nerazzurri are reportedly hours away from securing a loan deal for the Chilean international. Sanchez's move from Arsenal to Old Trafford is one that has failed to yield the desired outcome with the player failing to hit consistent top-form since his arrival.

The Red Devils' highest-earner has registered five goals in 45 appearance, a below par output that has forced the Premier League club to cut its loses with his sale. After offloading Romelu Lukaku to the Giuseppe Meazza outfit, the Red Devils began talks with the Italian club in a bid to send Sanchez packing as well.

According to Sky Italia's Fabrizio Romano, an agreement for the 31-year-old to complete his switch is just a matter of hours away. The ex-Arsenal forward is expected to sign a loan deal that will keep him at Inter Milan until June 2020.

While Antonio Conte retains the obligation to secure the permanent signing of the player after his stay, the club will pay less than 50% of his wages during his time in Italy. The winger is due to arrive in Milan on Wednesday for his medicals.
