The Red Devils have not started the 2019-20 season as they had hoped for, and some players are ready to jump ship before things fall apart.

Just as if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did not have enough things to worry about, he will have to have a word with one of his most reliable players to discuss his role in the near future.

The Norwegian boss might still see up to three players leaving the club before the summer transfer window comes to an end, as the names of Paul Pogba and Alexis Sánchez are still being discussed as possible transfers away from the club. Today, one more name emerged as a potential candidate to leave the club, as Nemanja Matic is reportedly interested in having a word with his boss, in order to push for a deal if his role with the club will be testimonial this season.

According to a report by the Mirror, the 31-year-old Serbian will discuss his future with the coach in the next few days, mainly because he is yet to make his debut in the 2019-20 season. Matic has been an unused substitute in all of Manchester United's games, and if that will become a common thing for him, the midfielder will seek for other employment opportunities.

Matic's future is being monitored closely by other European clubs, who could be tempted to lure the player away from Old Trafford on a loan deal. The Serbian footballer signed a deal with the Red Devils in 2017 for $49M back in 2017, and if he ends up leaving, the club will surely try to recover some of the money they invested in signing the player.

With Manchester United shifting their focus on younger players, it seems that Matic's time with the club is coming to its end. Have we seen his last game at Old Trafford yet? We will find out in the next seven days.
