Real Madrid are one of two teams heavily linked with a move for Neymar, the other being Barcelona. Los Blancos, just like the Blaugrana, are interested in landing the wantaway Brazilian superstar and just like the Catalan giants, the Merengues are struggling to match PSG’s asking price.
Perez’s side are thus looking to offer a player to lower the price and the Ligue 1 giants have named the man they want in exchange for the world’s most expensive footballer. According to Diario AS, that person is none other than Vinicius Jr.
Les Parisiens want Santiago Bernabeu’s promising Brazilian included in any deal for Neymar after the teenager’s exciting La Liga debut. Whether Real Madrid will entertain this demand remains unknown, however.
The former Flamengo ace made only 31 appearances in his first-ever campaign with Los Blancos and managed only four goals. However, his displays were electrifying, showing in El Clasico in particular that he can excite the Bernabeu crowd.
As a result, his employers have stated previously that the 19-year-old is not up for grabs. On the other hand, Zidane is in need of ready-made players in order to deliver this season and it will be interesting to see whether Florentino Perez and Co. will change their stance on Vinicius Jr.
As for Barcelona, they will likely have throw in Ousmane Dembele and maybe one other player to help bring Neymar back to Camp Nou. However, with PSG’s exuberant demands and the injuries to Mbappe and Cavani, everything points to the Brazilian staying in Paris.
