The German boss discussed the 'intense demands of football' in a recent interview, hinting he might not be around forever.

This new golden age for Liverpool may not last that long, as coach Jurgen Klopp has openly admitted that dealing with all the pressure in the world of football could see him take a sabbatical.

Speaking in an interview with German media outlet Kicker, Klopp share how his brand of intensity would need him to re-charge his batteries in order to give 100% of his skills to that job, which immediately sparked rumors about an early departure from the English side.

"I have absolute energy, but I have one problem: I can't do 'a little bit.' I can only do 'all or nothing'. If I decide for myself that I can't go on anymore, I'll take a break and in that year I'd have to make a definite decision," Klopp said.

Moments later, Klopp admitted that spending 12 months on the sidelines could be enough to see him back on top of his game, even if he can't promise that right now.

"The chances are very high that my energy levels will go up again [after a year's break], and that I can then do the job the way I want to," Klopp added.

Klopp's deal with Liverpool comes to an end in 2022. He will have spent the last seven seasons with the Reds, the same number of years he spent at Borussia Dortmund and Mainz before. Will he leave Liverpool after seven years as well? We will have to wait and see...
