The ex-Barcelona shot-stopper has decided to keep mute on the issue.

Valdes refuses to be drawn into Neymar to Barcelona Former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has refused to comment on Neymar's purported move to Camp Nou this summer. The ex-Spanish goalkeeper insists that he risks losing his post as the headcoach of Los Blaugrana's Juvenil A if he responds to the claims.

Neymar has been the subject of intense transfer speculation in past months and with the window nearing its closure, the 27-year-old Brazilian is expected to end the frenzy by moving back to Spain. At the moment, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus are all said to be keen on securing the service of the wantaway PSG winger but it is the Catalans that reportedly lead the race for his signature.

With the ex-Santos prodigy's future still up in the air, his former teammate Victor Valdes was quizzed on the likelihood of a potential return to Camp Nou. Speaking to reporters ahead of the Barcelona U19's clash with Ajax to commission the newly built Estadi Johan Cruyff, he said:

"What can I tell you about Neymar? I spent a year with him and he always stood out, that's something you have to appreciate. "He's a great player and he was crucial in the European Cup that we won," he added.

"Now that I'm here you put me in compromising position where if I say any more, maybe they'll sack me. I and want to remain at the club."

On Monday, French news outlet Telefooot reported that Barcelona had increased its bid for the Neymar. There is enough reason to believe that a huge sum of money is involved and French attacker Ousmane Dembele could potentially been offered to PSG on loan in the exchange.
