Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained why new boy Daniel James was named in the starting lineup against Wolves in Monday's Premier League encounter. The 21-year-old Welshman was impactful for the Red Devils against Chelsea having been introduced into the game from the bench.
James replaced Andreas Pereira in the 74th minute and left his mark in the game six minutes later by scoring his team's fourth goal against the Blues at Old Trafford. Apparently, the feat was enough to earn him a spot in the first eleven for the trip to Wolves with him being the only change to the lineup that demolished Frank Lampard's men.
Ahead of the clash at the Molineux, Solskjaer revealed his reason for giving the ex-Swansea City prodigy his full debut while demoting Andreas Pereira to the bench.

"Well, he's been impressive all pre-season, ever since he came into the club," he told MUTV.
"We feel that tonight might be the game for him. Obviously, he'll give us the X-Factor of his pace and penetration in behind, so we'll try to stretch Wolves a little bit.
"We know how difficult it is to come here and get three points, so we'll have to be on top of our game."
