Bayern München has finally landed a signing fans -and even Robert Lewandowski- demanded.
The German champions, who are currently starting their DFB-Pokal title defense against Energie Cottbus, have agreed terms with Inter Milan to sign Croatian winger Ivan Perisic.
Initial reports coming in from England suggest that the former Manchester United transfer target will arrive to Allianz Arena on a one-year loan, with a clause in the deal forcing Die Roten to pay for his permanent transfer next summer.
The initial fee agreed by both parties forces Bayern to pay Inter €5M ($5.6M), with the permanent deal set to be signed next season for €20M ($22M).
The 30-year-old footballer has already cleared the routine medical examination, and his signing could be made official by Die Roten in the next few hours.

The footballer was spotted while leaving the clinic where he had his medical examination.
On Sunday, reports coming in from Italy suggested that Perisic wanted the deal to include a permanent transfer clause, since he did not want to return to Inter next year.
After having the clause included in the deal, Perisic committed himself to his new club with a brief statement while leaving his medical examination, according to Bild.
"Yeah, I just had the medical checkup. I'll do my best," Perisic stated.
The former Inter footballer will join Bayern after playing 163 games for the nerazzurri, where he scored 40 goals. While some fans may have some doubts on the reliability of their new player, coach Niko Kovac believes that his experience will be crucial to help Die Roten in the 2019-20 season.
