The Red Devils could not catch a breather!

Good things, they say come to those who wait but in this case, the better stuff came to the one that persevered the most. It was a "wham-bam" situation inside Old Trafford on Sunday with Manchester United scoring in quick succession to dash the hopes of Chelsea of a comeback.

The Red Devils initially took the lead via a Marcus Rashford penalty kick in the 18th minute after the Englishman was tripped inside the 18-yard box of the visitors by Kurt Zouma. Despite the Blues dictating the tempo for the most part of the game, no fruits were yielded from their efforts.

The script was barely different in the early minutes of the second-half but it was Manchester United that hit back once more through Anthony Martial in the 65th minute. Just 95 seconds after the Red Devils' new No. 9 grabbed his first goal of the season, his side doubled its advantage with a thrilling counter-attacking move.

Once again, it was Marcus Rashford who ended up on the scoresheet after controlling a pinpoint long-range pass from Paul Pogba and carefully slotting it past Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga. Watch the goals below:
