The Polish striker is mad for the team's lack of reinforcements with very little time left before the start of the Bundesliga.

Bayern execs had promised their fans and their players that the team would invest heavily in the ongoing transfer window, but judging by one of their footballer's words, that promise has faded away.

According to an interview published by Bild, Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has reasons to believe that Bayern needs more players to be considered a contender in all competitions, especially after losing the 2019 German Super Cup.

The striker pointed out that the team saw key attacking players leave, with no replacements in sight at the moment.

"I think we need three new players. We lost three players in attack with Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben and James, and so far we have not had a new signing in that area. We need another attacking winger - even if Sane comes. Perhaps a No 6 or a central attacker," Lewandowski told the German newspaper.

Lewandowski, who scored 38 goals in all comps for Die Roten, believes that Bayern needs a plentiful squad to fight once again to win the UEFA Champions League, especially since the team's most experienced players are not getting any younger.

"If you want to play a whole season with 13 or 14 experienced pros, it's going to be hard. We have 50, 60 games over one full season, not three, four, five or six months," Lewandowski added.

The Polish striker is closing in to score his 200th goal with the Bavarian side. If he can manage to score 27 goals in all comps, he would surpass team president and club legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as the team's second most prolific scorer of all time.
