Fans of Manchester United have not taken it easy on wantaway striker Romelu Lukaku after the Belgian reportedly leaked private records about his teammates. The said data which was posted on the 26-year-old forward's Twitter page on Friday revealed that he was among the fastest players at the club.
While his exit has been all but confirmed, Lukaku has been a subject of criticism from fans of his club. Among the numerous wails of the Old Trafford faithfuls, one that was constantly resounded was the player's apparent weight gain which they claim resulted in the ex-Everton ace's poor showing last season.
In a bid to debunk the misconception, the Belgian international posted a video of Manchester United training log showing the top speeds attained by all the players at the club. The records showed that Portuguese starlet Diego Dalot was the fastest in the ranks with former Chelsea academy graduate also starring among the top performers.
Thanks for finally showing the world that I'm quicker than @LukeShaw23 bro. https://t.co/vfQ1wq0W5N

Juan Mata subsequently thanked Lukaku for disclosing that he was not the slowest at the club as Luke Shaw occupied the bottom position in the rankings. Nevertheless, the revelation has not gone down well among the fanbase of the Red Devils who feel that rival fans could use the information to their advantage.
Romelu Lukaku has since deleted the tweet from his page with his purported move to Juventus said to be nearing closer to completion.
Think it's quite disrespectful to leak club training results like that just to boost your ego from Lukaku. Must be gone otherwise he would've faced repercussions I would have thought. #mufc

it's disrespectful and stupid to leak club training results just to boost his ego or prove to fans he's not slow...a new low Lukaku. hope he face repercussions going or not. #mufc

This Lukaku speed data leak is actually so bizarre. Don't think anyone has criticised a lack of pace, 'Pace and power' are usually what pundits use to describe him. Obvs club won't be too pleased he's leaked private data. #MUFC

Lukaku can leak pace result but can't leak the ridiculous wages United pay him for chasing his first touch to throw-in and scoring once against the Big 6 while he was with us. Soft guy.

Highly unprofessional to leak training data like Lukaku did. He'll get fined for that for sure.

That Lukaku leak, smh... Why would you try to prove a point and by so doing, expose a colleague to public abuse? Prove your point on the field, with goals! If you score 30 goals a season, bad first touch, lack of pace, etc won't matter to anyone! Very uncalled for!
