With eight teams left in the tournament, interesting fixtures have been confirmed between bitter South American rivals. Find out when and where this games will be played

The 2019 edition of the Copa Libertadores has gifted fans with some unforgettable moments, and more of those are coming in the Quarterfinal stage of the South American competition.

The last eight teams in the competition were completed on Thursday evening, with Gremio joining the lucky sides in the Quarterfinals. Brazil has already secured a spot in the final, as two matchups involving four teams from that country were confirmed on one side of the draw.

Defending champions River Plate found it hard to beat Cruzeiro. Marcelo Gallardo's men were unable to score a single goal in the entire tie, but Franco Armani's performance in the penalty shootout was key to see Los Millonarios through. Now, River Plate will face Cerro Porteño, a team that defeated Argentine side San Lorenzo with a 2-1 aggregate.

Flamengo will be facing Internacional in the next round with all of their new signings, which make them a true title contender. The red and black side defeated Emelec in a penalty shootout, while Inter made it to the Quarterfinals with a 3-0 aggregate win against Uruguay's Nacional.

2018 runners-up Boca Juniors will be facing Liga de Quito in the next stage, following their 3-0 win against Atlético Paranaense- The team from Ecuador made it to this round with a 4-2 win against Olimpia.

The remaining all-Brazilian clash will have Palmeiras and Gremio fighting for a spot in the semis. Gremio eliminated Libertad with a 5-0 aggregate, and the Verdao made it past Godoy Cruz with a 6-2 score after two games.
