The Brazilian star needs to get his problems with the IRS soon if he doesn't want to lose his spot as Barcelona ambassador.

Ronaldinho's problems away from the pitch have not ceased, and Brazilian authorities are ready to exercise extreme measures to see that the footballer pays his debt to his home country.

The former Ballon D'Or winner still owes the Brazilian IRS a bit over $2.5M for an unpaid fine established against the star in 2017. The player decided to build a pier in a lake near one of his houses in Porto Alegre, which saw him breaching an environmental law.

The former footballer failed to show his face in court, which forced the judge hearing his case to confiscate his passport.

Today, Ronaldinho's attempt to sell 57 properties in order to pay his debts was stopped by the judge, who confiscated said properties until he pays his debt without selling any of his estate.

According to Folha de Sao Paulo's report, Ronaldinho has not complied with any of the judge's requests, with the risk of facing jailtime if he fails to pay his debt.

The 39-year-old has been banned from participating in Barcelona's Legends Tour. Added to that, his role as team ambassador is also on hold, since he can't be involved in any activities beyond the Brazilian border.
